Hello my crafty and creative friends!
Happy Valentine's Day
and Welcome to Day #5
of
Blue Knights Rubber Stamps New Release Sneak Peek Week and GIVEAWAY!

There will be a BIG  BLUE KNIGHT New Release (20+ stamp sets)
on Sunday...
and Yes..
There's a giveaway right here at my blog...
SO be sure to leave a comment after each blog post this week.
You'll get one chance for each comment left.
I'll announce the names of the 2 winners here at my blog on Sunday.
(Giveaway is opened to those with a US mailing addresses)

And now...
some cards...
created with the soon-to-be-released KIND WORDS BOUQUET stamp set

I created 3 different cards wit this stamp set...
each very different than the others.

In honor of Valentine's Day...
I created this first card.
I stamped the image and colored it with Copic markers.
After the image was colored...I die cut the image with a heart shaped die.
I used the die as a stencil...to add some light blue ink to the background.
By leaving the die cut shape in the die...the die acts like a stencil...
masking the outer edges of the die cut shape..
(in this case..the heart shaped image piece).
When the inking was complete...I removed the die
and had a nice crisp clean white edge around the heart.

I chose a Love themed sentiment...
hand cut the sentiment banner and the mat for the banner...
added the second part of the sentiment to the matted water color look print paper...
and this is what I wound up with.

For the second card...
I wanted to create a card that is great
for those who aren't into coloring...or might be hesitant to color a detailed image.
First...I inked the background color with 4 different ink colors...
Next...I stamped the image with Versamark ink...
and heat embossed the image with white fine detail embossing powder.
I chose a beautiful turquoise-like metallic card stock for matting.
and added a sentiment from Blue Knight's BIRTHDAY WISHES stamp set
cut and matted the sentiment piece...
and to finish the card I added a few clear Nuvo Drops

Okay my non-coloring friends...
Here ya go..
Lots of color
without coloring.

I decided to make the last version of this card a water colored card
for a third and different look.
I added a sentiment...
and  matted the image piece with black card stock...
For the largest mat layer...I chose a print that complemented the water coloring.

You can see the print mat layer in this photo...

KIND WORDS BOUQUET is full of surprises...
It's very versatile...
and can take on different looks based how how you choose to add color.
I'm glad that I added color 3 different ways
and I hope that today's cards inspire YOU
to explore all kinds of possibilities with color...
whether it be markers...pencils..ink...or embossing.

This wonderful stamp will be available
at the BLUE KNIGHT RUBBER STAMPS web site this Sunday
along with lots of other new release stamp sets!
