One Stamp ...2 Cards ...Colored 2 Different Ways

Hello, my Crafty and Creative Friends!

Today, for my Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Design Team Weekly Inspiration Projects, I'm sharing 2 cards that are almost exactly alike...EXCEPT, for in the way in which I colored them

I created both cards with Blye Knight's PRAYER FLOWER stamp and the same assortment of paper/card stock...
I stamped the image onto kraft card stock...
and used black matte card stock and green metallic card stock for matting.

The first card was colored with PanPastels...
LOTS of fun color blending on this card....
I applied the PanPastels with  PanPastel SOFFT Mini Applicators...they were the perfect size for adding color and blessing in both the larger and smaller detail areas of this image

I chose multiple colors from Blue Knight's SUNRISE & SUNSET PanPastel Palette to add color to the large floral bloom...
The leaves were colored with PanPastel colors that are part of Blue Knight's Day & Night PanPastel Palette

NOTE:
PANPASTEL SEALING

After the image was "colored"...I sealed the image with a light misting of NEXXUS Comb Thru Hairspray.

If you follow my blog...you already know about the Hairspray thing...

If you're new to my blog..I'll explain a bit:

Using hairspray was recommended to me by our local art shop.

(*Note...sealing with NEXXUS is not archival safe...If you want your colored piece to be archival safe you'll need to use an art-grade sealant that is archival safe....NEXXUS COMB THRU is the brand that I recommend. Using cheaper heavier hair sprays won't do the job as nicely. I encourage you to invest in NEXXUS Comb Thru (not their other version of hairspray...Comb Thru works best)

After the image was colored and sealed...

I double matted with black card stock and metallic green card stock

If you like images that are colored...but don't like spending a lot of time coloring images...PanPastels are the way to go!
They're quick...(super quick)...and blend easily...
This card came together in a flash

My second PRAYER FLOWER card was colored with Copic markers.

I chose to create some darker "lines" on this image...as opposed to doing smooth blending.
The colors that I chose for the bloom and the leaves were similar to the PanPastel colors that I used on the first card

Again...as with the first card...I double matted with black card stock and metallic green card stock

Here's a side by side of both cards...

PanPastels on the left...
Copic markers on the right
