here at the Bellissima cards blog!

(US Residents...leave a comment below for a chance to win
your choice of one of the New Release stamp sets
featured here at my blog this week!
Two winners will be chosen and announced here on Sunday!

We've been  inching our way together here at my blog....
and getting closer to Sunday...RELEASE DAY..
With this New Release...
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps will begin offering
20+ new stamp sets at their web site.

I'm guessing that with visiting my blog everyday...
your Blue Knight Wish List is growing.
A friendly reminder:
Make sure that you add their Heidi Pettie CLOUD STENCIL to your wish list
It's a must have
(This is being said by a girl who could never create a cloud...
and never found a cloud stencil or template that she liked....
until I discovered this Stencil)
WARNING: You'll be wanting to add a cloudy sky to every card that you make
for about one month after you receive the stencil...
(I am serious about that)
You will become cloud obsessed!

Okay...we chatted about the GIVEAWAY....the CLOUD STENCIL...
the RELEASE DATE....and your WISH LIST....
and now it's time to share some cards with you
Both created with the new REJOICE ALWAYS stamp set

I chose to create two cards with the floral image from this beautiful stamp set.
The first card is water colored.

I stamped the image with Versamark ink...
Applied Gold Fine Detail Embossing Powder
Used a heat gun to set the embossing powder...
Then...
water colored the image
and finally...painted the background
I chose metallic gold card stock for the smaller mat layer...
and green metallic card stock for the larger mat layer.
The script sentiment is part of this stamp set.
Water coloring this image gives it a softer...almost muted look...
which I like.

For the second card....
I stamped the image twice for a totally different look.
I chose to add color to the image with Copic markers....
Creating a much stronger...brighter...more crisp look
(as compared to the water colored image above)
I added a sentiment from Blue Knight's BIRTHDAY WISHES stamp set.
I embossed the larger mat layer with a floral embossing folder...
and matted the image piece with black card stock.
I like that the  floral image looks crisp against the white background...
So I opted not to add background color.

REJOICE ALWAYS is a versatile stamp set...
The floral image can stand alone when stamped once for a card front.
It also works beautifully when stamped multiple times
to create a different look.
And...
it will be available on Sunday....
