Today I have 2 cards to share..
Both created with the new release SUCCULENT ENVELOPE stamp set.
The cards are similar..but different in how they were colored.
I chose to use the same lovely sentiment...from the stamp set...on both cards
(Yes...That's how much I really like the sentiment)
I chose some beautiful bronze, right green and dark green LCI metallic card stock for matting.
I heat embossed one of the images...and straight up stamped the other.
The sentiment banners were created with Lawn Fawn's BANNERIFIC stamp set.
(I'll note the coloring details below.)
I am loving this Succulent image
(and I am loving that succulents are popular now in the world of card making)
This version was stamped with Versamark Ink
and heat embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder.
I colored the image with a combination of Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.
Blending was done with a colorless Spectrum Noir blender pen/marker
Background color was created by brushing on ink...with Clarity Stencil Brushes
The matted image layer and the sentiment banner were positioned with fun foam
for added dimension.
The second card looks very much like the first
but with a few small differences.
The image itself was colored with Copic markers.
(No color blending and shading this time...with pencils)
I chose a darker shade of green for matting the image this time.
The background color is more yellow here..
and..
I positioned the sentiment banner in a lower position on the card front.
I chose to make this envelope a bit darker...with a bit more shading.
I really enjoyed creating both of today's cards.
Shading with pencils is really lots of fun...
so I'm glad that I chose to color one of today's cards that way.
I hope that you enjoyed seeing a few cards created with this terrific new stamp set.
