I'm so happy and excited to be a Guest Designer, during the month of February
with the Stamp, Ink Paper Design Team.
with the Stamp, Ink Paper Design Team.
I am always up for a card making challenge...and this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge theme is....."LOVE"...
This Challenge inspired me to create a card that included a little bit of masking....
This Challenge inspired me to create a card that included a little bit of masking....
something that I don't do very often.
I inked up Sketchy Cities America and To the Moon...
both by Altenew... to create this card.
After stamping the skyline...I stamped it again...cut it out......
and then used the second skyline as a mask...
so that I could stamp the moon...to give the appearance of the moon resting behind the skyline.
The sentiment is one of many great stamps in the To the Moon stamp set.
The background color was added with Clarity Stencil Brushes
and ink..lifted from ink pads.
I used a beautiful midnight blue metallic card stock for the mat layer.
I have to admit...I am NOT A FAN OF MASKING.
NOT at all.
I actually try to avoid masking..if at all possible...
But I also have to admit...
WHEN I do mask...I am always happy with the result.
And with this card...
Once again...
I'm glad that I got over my mask-avoiding -self...
and masked!
Because once again...
I am happy with result!
So now...
How about getting in on the challenge fun by whipping up a "LOVE" themed card of your own
