Hello my crafty and creative friends!
If you've found your way to my blog today...
You've officially become part of this fabulous week
featuring Catherine Scanlon Designs latest release!

I'll be here every day...through to next Friday...
sharing cards created with one new release stamp set per day.
There will also be a giveaway related to each days stamp(s) & cards!
On Saturday...the 6th and final day...
I'll do a recap of the entire week of stamps and cards..
and...
I'll announce the winners of each of the 6  daily giveaways!

*To be in on the giveaways...
You'll just need to have a USA mailing address
and...
share a comment here at the blog each day
letting me know what you think about that day's stamp and cards.

Simple. Easy...and...Fun!

And now...
It's time for me to kick off Catherine Scanlon Week with today's stamp and cards!

I've got a few cards to share with you today...
Each created with Catherine's ROSE FRAME stamp set.

I've created 3 cards...
Similar...but different...with an assortment of sentiments from the stamp set.

The first version is stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Copic markers.
The image is double matted with celery green  and deep purple LCI metallic card stock.
The matted image layer on this card...and the 2 cards that follow...
was positioned with a large piece of fun foam...
for a nice sturdy lift and added dimension.

This large floral image has lots of great detail for lots of coloring and blending.
It's also the ideal size for an A2 card front...
as are each of the stamps in this new release.

For the second version ...
I stamped the image with Versamark Ink
and then heat embossed the stamped image with Opaque White Fine Detail Embossing Powder.
I "painted" the image with Luminarte Twinkling H2O's.
Twinkling H20's are fantastic if you like a shimmery almost metallic look.
One stroke of the brush loaded with the H20's gave great coverage over this dark blue card stock.

For the 3rd version of the Rose Frame card I chose to heat emboss the image
with Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.
I colored the image by water coloring with Zig markers.
I double matted the painted image with black and bright pink LCI metallic card stock.

I had to share multiple photos of this card!
The large rose is perfect for coloring of any kind...
marker...water coloring...
and although I didn't pencil color this image for today's cards...
I'm guessing that it would be wonderful for some nice color blending with pencils.
and...
because the gold embossing is so pretty...
I wanted to make sure that you got a good look at it!

It's no secret that I am a fan of gold heat embossing!
(Can you tell?)

Isn't the gold embossing  pretty?
This card is right up my alley!
very "me"
CAS...gold heat embossing...and water coloring.
ALL of my favorite things about card making...rolled into one card!

Isn't a group of cards created with this Rose Frame stamp set
a great way to kick off Catherine Scanlon Week here at my blog?!
This beautiful stamp set is just one of the fabulous stamp sets

    1. Thanks so much!
I like Sparkle N Sprinkle Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder...it's my fave
IN the rode colored card above..it looks a teeny but rough/bumpy...because it's on water color card stock which isn't smooth...When I use it on smooth card stock...it's got the smooth look that you're looking for.
(I also use a MISTI when stamping the Versamark ink...and re-ink and re-stamp a few times to get a really defined and completely inked image...so that the embossing powder really sticks.
