Day 2: Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Week & GIVEAWAY

Hello my crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 2 of Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Week & GIVEAWAY
here at my blog!

Yesterday I shared a collection of cards created with
some great silhouette style stamps from Blue Knight's recent release.

Today I've got another silhouette card to share...
Created with the For Those Who Served ....and God Bless America stamp sets.

My collection of patriotic or service related cards isn't that big...
So when I saw this card at the Blue Knight web site...
I loved it's simplicity...
and...
I knew that I should add it to my order.

This silhouette stamp is the ideal size for an A2 card front
and together with Gina K's AMALGAM ink and the Misti
it was easy to stamp out a nice crisp solid silhouette image.
I paired this stamp with Heidi Pettie's Cloud Stencil
to create a cloudy background
I chose black metallic card stock for the larger mat layer...
and matted the image piece with deep red cherry colored card stock.

This card is true to my love of CAS card making.
The image can stand alone
and also works well with a sentiment.
The addition of the clouds was a cinch ...
Thanks to the Cloud Stencil...an ink pad...
and Clarity Stencil Brushes.

I've enjoyed creating all of the silhouette cards that I've shared here at my blog
yesterday and today.
In the past, I've had on-and-off success getting good solid silhouette images
and so I'm also happy to know that Gina K's AMALGAM Ink paired with the MISTI...
are a great choice for getting great results when using silhouette stamps..
and this allows me to know that I will enjoy using these terrific silhouette stamps
for future card making!

  2. Love the stamps and the sayings. The Military does so much for us, but we do so little for them. Great way to let them know they are appreciated!
