I've got a nice CAS "guy card" to share today..
and a little RAK to give away as well...
(RAK details are posted at the end of the blog)
I was putting away a stack of dies that I had used for Mother's Day cards...
and I saw this die set...
New.
Never used.
Package unopened.
and thought that I needed to create a card with it ASAP.
Marianne Crafts Creatables die set..
# LR0288
Anyway...
It was late...
I was tired..
I had a mess out on the worktable already...
I didn't want to drag out a ton of "stuff" for just one card...
but I DID wan to make a few cards with this die set...
so I kept it simple.
I got out LCI black..bronze..and silver metallic card stock
silver brads...
my Big Shot
and a few silver mini brads..
and... this is what I came up with
Okay now..
I'll say it loud
because I am proud!!
CAS! CAS! CAS!
Yes...a CAS card...
from me!
Gee!
What a surprise!
(NOT!)
I have another "tool" die set..but the dies are very small..
I like this set because the die cut pieces are a nice size for A2 card making
So I got busy creating a a few cards...
I wanted to keep it simple...
and clean...
(of course!)
I hand cut 4 banners in one size...and one narrower banner
so that they would fill the card front
but would allow a narrow slit of the bronze metallic card stock to show through between the banners.
I played around with the dies cuts
to see which I wanted where..
so that they would look balanced in their placement.
Once I had committed to a design.and feel happy with everything..
it was time to put it all together.
The bronze mat with the banners and dies cuts was placed on the black the base mat
using dimensionals.
Finally..
I added a narrow black metallic strip
with a silver mini brad positioned at either end.
and..
wha-la!
A nice little "guy card" thats perfect for a birthday...
or...
Father's Day
and..
as always..
here's a closeup...
so that you can see the details
up close and personal!
(That bronze metallic card stock is gawww-juss)
So now...
what about that RAK?
If you follow my blog...
you already know that from time to time I do a little RAK
(emphasis on "little")
Just a little something to share...
in creative friendship.
So..
if you like these tool die cuts...
and if you'd like to create a card like this one...
leave a comment below...
Then...
On Thursday...
I'll throw the names in a hat (literally)
I'll pick one name..
and will send a set of silver metallic die cut tools to that person.
Card loving friends...This card is now available at The Bellissima Card Shop....HERE
