Wednesday: Inspiration Design Team Project Day with Sheena Douglass' "Seascapes"

It's Wednesday!
and that means that it's Crafter Companion Inspiration Design Team Day here at my blog!

I've got another beautiful card to share with you...
created with Sheena Douglass' "A Little Bit Scenic" ~ Seascapes stamp set.

I created this CAS (Clean And Simple) card with the lighthouse stamp from the Sea Scapes stamp set
(*There are lots of great stamps in this Sheena Douglass' stamp set.
I love coloring beautiful images......
and decided to color and create this card with Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils.
It's lots of fun to mix and blend colors to highlight and create depth and shading.
I highlighted the waves with a Clear Overlay Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen.
Crafters Companion Shimmer Card Stock was used for the mat layers and card base.
Being a true CAS card maker...I never go big on embellishments...
so...a trio of red knotted twine threads seemed like the perfect embellishment for this card.
I love the very clean and crisp look of the image against the card stock layers
and clean white background of the image layer.

Here's a close-up...
if you take a look at the green shrubs and the rooftops
you can see the shading that's achieved with the pencils...
as well as some of the Sparkle Pen application on the shimmery waves.

Being a person who loves color...
I'd like to say that this card was a joy to create.
It's very magical to watch something that starts out being black and white...
turn into some detailed, colorful and realistic looking.

Thanks for visiting...
As always...
I  enjoyed sharing this week's Crafter's Companion Inspiration Design Team Project with you!
