Day #2...Catherine Scanlon Designs Week...A New Release Stamp...and a Daily Giveaway

Welcome back to Day #2 of Catherine Scanlon Week...here at my blog!

I've got a few cards to share with you today...
each created with the new release GIFT ENCLOSURES stamp set!

This terrific stamp set has two beautiful images
and an assortment of sentiments.
I've got 4 cards to share...
Similar...but different
(as I always say)

But before I share the card pics..
A little note about the giveaway..
To enter ...You'll just need to comment below..and have a USA mailing address.
Be sure to comment beneath each days blog post
to be "in" on each of the daily giveaways
which , by the way, are being offered by Catherine Scanlon, herself!

It's time to share the cards that I've created with the GIFT ENCLOSURES stamp set!
Here's a pic of the stamp set which you can see HERE...
at the ART GONE WILD web site
You can also visit Catherine Scanlon's Instagram page HERE
to see her amazing creativity and projects.

and now...
The cards!
(I just realized...I've got lots of purple happening here today!)

Each of today's cards were stamped with Memento RICH COCOA ink
and...
Each completed image was positioned with fun foam..for added dimension.
I chose an assortment of LCI metallic card stock colors for matting
and with the exception of the coral color card below..
all of the sentiments came from the GIFT ENCLOSURES stamp set
All of today's background color was created by applying ink...from ink pads...
with Clarity Stencil Brushes.

This first card was colored with a combination of Copic markers and pencils.
The pencil coloring and shading was done over a base layer of color created with the Copics.
I used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for adding pencil color & shading.
Once the pencil shading was complete...
I blended using a Copic Colorless Blender pen/marker.
The blender breaks down the waxiness of the pencil which results in blending that's almost magical!

The second version of the violet image was colored with Copic markers only...
No pencil shading added to this image.
I stamped the sentiment...
and hand cut the banner...and added some color to the banner with ink and Clarity brushes
I did the same for each of today's sentiment pieces.

This beautiful bloom is the other large stamp in the GIFT ENCLOSURE stamp set.
(I LOVE it!)
I chose to color this image with Copics...and added shading with Polychromos pencils.
I will never get tired of the magic that happens
when pencil coloring is blended with an alcohol marker colorless blender pen (aka marker).
I love the coral tones of the bloom...against the bronze metallic card stock mat....
and the hint of and Autumn like rust color on the leaves.
(*The sentiment for this card is from another new release stamp set called "HAPPY".)

Today's 4th and final card is Copic colored...
I chose deep purple metallic  and a beautiful shade of green metallic card stock
for matting.

I really enjoyed creating today's cards...
and love that many of the new release sets have sentiments included...
Plus...the images are the perfect size for those of us who like to create A2 cards!
Not too big...
Not too small.

I'm excited about the cards that I've already shared with you from this new release...
as well as the cards that  I'll be sharing with you during the next few days!
This is fabulous new release
and I'm happy to share it with you here, at my blog...this week!
