Day 1: Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Week & Giveaway

Hello my crafty friends!
It's been a while since I've created and shared ANYTHING
here at my blog.
The Big Huge Crafty garage sale that I hosted here on our property kept me busy purging an sorting and getting things ready for the sale day.
(The sale was a BIG success for 13 of us selling our purged crafty goodies)
Then, when the sale was over...
I was focused on getting my studio back in order
So I've been working on that
(Putting the studio back in order after the sale...NOT too much of a success!)

But...
I am taking a break from studio re-vamping
to dedicate this entire week to cards that I'll be creating
with some amazing Blue Knight Rubber Stamps...
Most are from their most recent release...
and all are new to me!

So...this is where I say...
Welcome to Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Week and GIVEAWAY
here at my blog!
(GIVEAWAY INFO POSTED AT THE END OF THE BLOG POST)

I was excited to see that Blue Knight released a collection of wonderful stamps
featuring children...
some of the images reflect a boy and girl, both wheelchair bound...
Some of the images include their pets.
Some are silhouette images...
and some are wonderful images to color.

Today, I'm sharing cards created with 3 super silhouette stamp sets...

Birthday Fun (Left).....  I'll Never Stop Believing (Right)

and...

I also used sentiments from a few different sentiment sets:
Once in a Lifetime (left).....  Best Wishes (Right)

I mixed and matched the stamps from  different  sets
to create some of today's cards.

I use Gina K's AMALGAM INK and my MISTI for all of the silhouette stamping.
I found that the AMALGAM INK gave a great solid image
with just a few re-inkings of the stamp & re-stamping with the MISTI.

I chose an assortment of prints for matting..
and ink colors for background inking with Clarity Stencil Brushes
I also used Heidi Pettie's CLOUD STENCIL
(Also from blue Knight Rubber Stamps....and which I LOVE!)

So yes!
I've got lots to share today!

I created this first card with the silhouette images
from the Birthday Fun Stamp set
The sentiment is from the  I'll Never Stop Believing stamp set.
I also used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil to create the background.
The image piece was die cut with a stitched rectangle die.
I matted the print and image piece with dark navy blue card stock.

I created a bit of a different card front for this card.
The card front was trimmed so that it's not as wide as the back panel of the card.
I offset the matted image and attached it to the card front.

For the next card...
I used stamps from Birthday Fun and I'll Never Stop Believing.
I created the inked background
I stamped a combination of a few sentiments on the inside of the card.
The image piece was die cut with a Mini Scallop die.
I used gold thread to tie the small bow.

The next card was created with one of the images
in the I'll Never Stop Believing stamp set
and a sentiment from the Birthday Wishes sentiment set.

I inked the background color by lifting ink from an assortment of ink pads
then brushing and blending the colors with Clarity Stencil Brushes.
I used a Mini Scallop die to die cut the image piece.
I stamped the sentiment then hand cut the banner...and matted it.

And...
today's 4th an final card was created with the Zach & Marley stamp set
and a sentiment from the Once in a Lifetime sentiment set.
I created an inked background with Clarity Stencil Brushes.
I chose prints and matting color that worked well with the image.
The image piece was die cut with a double stitch rectangle die.

Blue and green have always been a favorite color combo of mine...
and I'm happy with how they look with this silhouette image.

I enjoyed creating each of today's cards.
Sometimes, stamping silhouette images can be frustrating
if the stamp quality isn't great...and the ink doesn't stamp well.

While creating today;s cards I noticed right away
that the silhouette stamps from Blue Knight
work beautifully with Gina K's Amalgam Ink and the MISTI.
From here on in...
this will be my winning combination of tools and supplies for silhouette stamping!
