Day #6...Catherine Scanlon Designs Week...a New Release Stamp...and a Daily Giveaway

Hello my crafty and creative friends!
I can hardly believe that today is Day #6 of Catherine Scanlon Designs Week here at my blog!
This week of sharing cards created with Catherine's new release has passed by in  flash.

I've had the best time creating each and every one of this weeks cards
and am glad that I don't have to choose a favorite...
because that would be impossible.
If Catherine Scanlon Designs are new to you...
I hope that the week has inspired you
and brought some new and fresh ideas to your creative repertoire.
If you were already a Catherine Scanlon fan...
I hope that this week reminded you of how beautiful her work is...
and has sparked some new card making ideas that excite you.

Tomorrow...Day #7...will be a re-cap of the entire week...
as well as the announcing the giveaway winners for each of the 6 days
**You still have time to post a comment at each of the week's blog posts so that you will be "in" on each of the daily giveaways!

Today, though...
I have a few cards to share with you...
both created with the newly released THANK YOU stamp set.
You can see detail about the THANK YOU stamp set  HERE...
at the ART GONE WILD web site.
You can also follow Catherine Scanlon on Instagram HERE
to see her art and projects

So...
Here are the cards that I created with the THANK YOU stamp set.

First....this Autumn-looking card.
I stamped this image...as well as the image for the 2nd card
with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink.
I used Copic markers to color the image.
Matting was done with LCI metallic card stock
in taupe and bronze.
I stamped the sentiment..
and hand cut the banner
My intent when I started this card wasn't focused on Autumn at all.
But..as I began to color..
the card went in an Autumnal direction ...which made me happy.
This color palette is one that I like very much

Here's a close up...
for a look at the colors ...shading...and blending.

When I set out to create his card...the 2nd card...
I knew that I wanted to color the bloom in rose tones..
and the add some purple tones to the card as well.
I colored this image with Copic markers...
then highlighted and shaded with Faber -Castell Polychromos pencils.
After I had laid the pencil color down over the Copic coloring
I blended both with a Spectrum Noir Colorless Blender Pen/marker.
I mentioned this earlier in the week...
but have to say it again...
Blending pencil coloring when aid down over Copic coloring is very magical.
The alcohol in the blender pen breaks down the wax from the pencil coloring
and blends the pencil colors together.
A look that I LOVE
The matting on this card was done with a deep plum and gold colored metallic card stock colors.
I stamped the sentiment...and hand cut the banner

 Here's close up...

I hope that you enjoyed seeing a few cards created with the THANK YOU stamp set.
This beautiful flower...a big bold THANK YOU and some terrific sentiments
are the makings of a wonderful stamp, I think!

Thanks so much for visiting today...
Don't forget you comment below...
and under each of the prior 5 day blog posts..
so that you'll be entered into each day's giveaway.

Wishing you a wonderfully creative day...
and looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Michelle.
