Day 4...Catherine Scanlon Designs Week...and GIVEAWAY!

I cant believe that it's already Day 4 of Catherine Scanlon Designs Week 

here at my blog!

And..it's your fourth chance to comment below...

Today...I am sharing 3 cards...

each created with Catherine Scanlon's  ELEGANT BOUQUET stamp.

I  water colored two of today's card with paint brushes

For the 3rd card...color was applied with a small dauber.

I stamped the images with Versamark ink...then heat embossed

with Sparkle n Sprinkle Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

The images were "painted' with Altenew Crisp Ink(s)

and Distress Ink(s)

I used LCI Metallic Card Stock for matting

I used an assortment of Penny Black "Snippets" sentiments on 2 cards

and a Stampin UP sentiment on the third card.

I've chosen to keep the sentiments small on most of this week's cards...

because I wanted the beautiful floral images to be the focus.

Penny Black Snippets sentiments are ideal small sentiments

(and they're very versatile)

For the first card...I wanted "painting" that had burred lines...

and went beyond the image lines.

I applied ink to the image and background with a small sized ink dauber.

I used regular Distress ink  (not Oxides) to add all of the color that you see on this image.

After the image and background had the desired ink coverage...

I spritzed it with water to allow the ink to react and move...

to get the desired look of the ink going beyond the image lines.

For matting...I used two LCI metallic card stock colors that complemented the image.

The next 2 cards were water colored with traditional paint brushes

and an assortment of Altenew Crisp Ink(s)

I finished the card with a small sentiment and some beautiful LCI metallic card stock matting.

The third and final card for today was also painted with Altenew ink and paint brushes.

The sentiment is from a Stampin Up stamp set.
