Hello everyone..
I'm back with Day 2 of Catherine Scanlon Week...
here at the Bellissima Cards Blog.
If this is your first visit...take a peek at yesterday's blog post
to see the cards that I created with the Blossom in Bloom stamp set.
I enjoy sharing what I love with you and am appreciative each and every visit.
I know that I get LOTS of blog visitors...even though not many visitors comment.
(the "counting" tool attached to my blog tells me that lots of people check in here daily)
If you haven't commented in the past..that's okay...
But...NOW is the time to start leaving a quickie little comment each day...
so that you'll be part of the GIVEAWAY ...at the end of Catherine Scanlon Week
(Giveaway opened to USA cards makers)
Today...I'm really excited to share a few cards with you..
each created with Catherine Scanlon's ARRANGEMENT stamp set.
I've had this stamp for a while...and never had time to enjoy using it.
So when I created today's cards....it was the fist time that I inked up this stamp!
I stamped the image with Versamark ink...
Heat embossed with Sparkle n Sprinkle Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder
and
water colored each card using Altenew Crisp Ink...
and an assortment of paint brushes in various sizes.
I used a few sentiments from a Penny Black SNIPPETS stamp set
I created 3 cards with this image...each with a different color palette
and a different sentiment.
Okay...here we go...
3 cards created with the Catherine Scanlon Designs stamp....ARRANGEMENT .
**I order all of my Catherine Scanlon stamps from the
ART GONE WILD web site.
This version is all about shades of coral with a touch of yellow.
and...
WOWZERAMA!
Look at the details!
The vase is gorgeous with all of those swirls...and the "Arrangement" of flowers (?)
Absolute and sheer gorgeousness!
Those big leaves and gorgeous blooms are heaven for someone like me
who LOVES to water color beautiful blooms
The mat layers were cut from LCI metallic card stock
I chose to keep the sentiments small on each card
because I felt that the image itself needed to be in the spotlight
and the first thing that the eye goes to.
For the second card...
I went with purple tones for the blooms..complemented by shades of blue.
The tiny floral details were wonderful to water color...
and are ideal for water coloring with a heat embossed image.
The shimmer of the gold embossing powder looks fantastic with this beautiful image.
The mat layer colors work nicely, I think...with the water colored image's color palette
For the third and final card created with ARRANGEMENT
I went with pink blooms.
I made sure to add lots of color blending and shading to define the blooms and leaves.
Altenew Crisp Ink pads are perfect for water coloring...
The colors are magnificent and translate to water coloring with ink, beautifully
and...for his card...I added a print to the matting layers.
The solid mat layers are LCI metallic card stock
This image...and each of the cards were a JOY to water color and create cards with.
They truly reflect my style...
and the type of images that I love to create with.
This is a stamp that will get used often, in my studio!
So what do yo think?
Are you as wowed by Catherine Scanlon's stamp as I am?
