Shamrocks....St Patty's Day is on the Way!

I've set my little stack of 100 stamped and colored images aside for a little bit...
because it's time to start creating a few St Patty's day cards!

My stash of St Patty's stamps and dies is limited...
I just can't seem to find many great stamps...or dies for this specific occasion.
But I DO love the stamps and dies that I have...
so I was excited to sit down to create my first few St Patty's cards of 2017.
I DID, however...
take a ride out to Scrap-A Latte ...a great little Scrap shop here on Long Island...
(and a place where I love to shop and browse)
to pick up some St. Patty's Day print paper.
Renee, the owner, has an eye for gorgeous print paper...
Finding lots of beautiful prints is never a challenge when I visit the shop.

So, with my small arsenal of stamps, dies and some beautiful prints in hand...
This meatball rolling-sauce stirring Italian girl (me!)
sat down to create her first St Patty's Day card of the season.
I made a few of the card that I am sharing today....
simply because it was such fun to make
and...because, as you know..I always create multiples!

I used Taylored Expressions A Tisket A Tasket die set to cut the basket, using gold metallic card stock.
I used a deep emerald green metallic card stock to die cut the tiny shamrocks
using a Memory Box Shamrock die set.
The sentiment is form MSE's St. Patty's Day stamp set
The large mat layer was cut using emerald green metallic card stock.
The image is matted over gold metallic  card stock.
I added a vertical banner between the mat layer and image layer
using a great little shamrock print.
Thanks to the banner, I will share this card at the Gina K sponsored "Striptease" Challenge.

This card has lots of shimmer...on the mat layers, basket and shamrocks...
But it still needed a little bit of "something"...
so I added one small simple diamond at the start of the sentiment.

I've already got a stamp and some pretty prints out on the studio worktable...
ready and waiting to be part of the next group of St Patty's cards that I hope to make next.
