I'm in full Holiday card mode...
and so I have a Christmas Card to share with you today...
created with the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set ...
from the Makey Bake Mice Collection.
I stamped the image onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth card stock
and then colored it with Spectrum Noir (Alcohol) Markers.
I blended and added color to the background with stencil brushes and ink pads.
When the image was complete I matted it on Shimmering card stock
and
The second mat layer was cut to size with a print from the Festive Wonder paper pad
I created the sentiment piece...
and used some fine gold embroidery thread to embellish it.

Very cute. Love the shading. I have a question about the Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth card stock. Where do you get it, what weight, and is it super white or more dingy? Sorry so many questions. I am just looking for a cardstock good for coloring with my copics. I have been using Cryogen and happy with it but it bleeds through and isn't a true white.
ReplyDeletehi El....I order the Spectrum Ultra Sooth directly from the Crafter's Companion US web site.....Alcohol markers do not bleed on the image side of the card stock...they DO bleed through to the back (as alcohol markers do on all card stock....not that THAT matters ;) )..This card stock IS Ultra Smooth as they say....and it IS white...not dingy and it's 100 lb .....here's the link:
