Wedding Wishes

Last week I mentioned that I had created  a wedding card..
but couldn't share it on Facebook...my blog etc...
because I didn't want the bride to see it.

The beautiful wedding was this past weekend...
and the card was given to the bride and groom..
so...
now I can share it with you!

This was a "no-stamping-involved-card"
(except for the sentiment that is stamped on the inside of the card)
Instead..this card was all about die cutting....and embossing

All of the intricate detailed die cutting was a breeze with the Gemini Die Cutting Machine
by Crafter's Companion
All of the lacy detailed and intricate little pieces on the bride and groom die...and the ornate corer pieces cut perfectly  every time....with just one pass through this awesome machine.
No poking little tiny pieces out of the die cut piece...YAY!

With the exception of the ivory matte finish card stock used to create the base card..
this entirecard was created with metallics....ivory and purple metallic card stock.
I had to include some purple...which was the color of the gowns born by the bridesmaids

This card is all about creating texture with embossing.
All of the mat layers were embossed with Crafter's Companion Downton Abbey's Collection
LEAFY FLOURISH embossing folder.
This embossing folder is so beautiful...
Although, I have to say...his photo doesn't show the the embossing very well...
but the next photo does.
The four corners are intricate, lacy detailed die cuts ...also from Crafter's Companion...
called FRENCH DIES...a 3 die-set for creating ornate corner pieces
I cut 4 of the corner die that I  wanted to use to create this card...one for each corner.
The Bride and Groom die is by COTTAGE CUTS...and is called: BRIDE and GROOM
Gee...what a surprise!

A much better photo for showing the embossing...
and some of the corner detail .
The 2 thin purple mat layers that you see here...
were not embossed...that would have created too much bulk.

The inside sentiment is by PTI (Papertrey Ink).

I really enjoyed creating this card for Adam and Michelle...
8 card stock layers later...
some embossing...
and some die cutting
a pretty sentiment...
and....wha-la!....the card was complete...
and....
it turned out exactly as I hoped that it would!

Thanks for visiting today, my crazy friends...
Michelle.
and PS....
Michelle....if you are checking in here today...
We loved sharing in your beautiful wedding day with you...
We wish you and Adam a lifetime of
happiness together.
xoxo
