Roses and Camellia's

I have lots of flower dies..
many of which are roses...
all sorts of roses...
groups...bunches...single...long stem...bouquets...

So it makes sense that this gorgeous large card front sized "Bed of Roses" die
by Ellen Hutson Essentials
caught my eye.

At the same time...I fell in love with this beautiful Penny Black Camellia...
and immediately had a vision in my mind of what I would like to do with these dies...
together...
on one card.

and so...
here it is...
what I had envisioned...
the vision...now a card
(actually 2 cards!)

Aren't the die cut details beautiful?
The under-layer is a beautiful shimmery Ivory card stock
I backed each shimmery leaf with a duplicate die cut of the leaf shape..in yellow...
so that it would stand out a bit more against the beautiful intricately die cut card front.
I am in LOVE with both of these dies as stand alone dies...
But together?
WOWZER!
They knocked my socks off!
(Just as I had anticipated they would ...when I had that card-vision-in-my-head-moment
and ordered both dies!)

On the yellow card...
I hand cut a small banner
and stamped the Happy Mother's Day sentiment in Gold

and as always...
a close up...
so that you can see the details...
up close and personal...

And...
another...
 in a beautiful lavender color
(no sentiment on this one.....yet)
By the way...
Applause to Ellen Hutson for offering a great quality die!
I use very heavy weight card stock...
The Bed of Roses die cut right through my hefty card stock...1-2-3..
all of the little pieces fell out of the Rose cuts...
with minimal need to use a poking tool.
(Now that's a good die!)
And so as to not ignore the Penny Black Camellia die...
I have to say the same for the Camellia..
it cuts beautifully

A good combo...
Camellia's and Roses....
don't you agree?

Card loving friends: This beautiful Rose and Camellia die cut card will be available at The Bellissima Card Shop soon!
