The Marsupial ...aka "the Kangaroo"

Okay.....first:
Before I forget...
Don't forget to sign up for email updates to the Bellissima Cards blog
(on the upper right of this blog page)
Because.....

I'll explain more soon...but for now...while you're here...take a sec to sign up for the email updates..so that you'll be able to participate in the RAK-y giveaways

Alright...now onto the video...

I thought that my days of posting anything related to my water colored hydrangeas was over.
I think that by now you have all seen them...
Maybe even more than once.

I love that image
and I love water coloring
and therefore...
I love water coloring that gorgeous image.

So when a friend asked me to create 10 sympathy cards with water colored hydrangeas...
I was as excited as I always am when I work with that stamp..some ink... and my paint brushes

I painted the hydrangeas the other night...
and tonight was the night to cut the cards..stamp the sentiments...
and put the cards together so that I can ship them out early next week.

I don't know about you...
but no matter how much attention I give to trying to achieve meticulous placement of card stock layers on one another...
I sometimes find that I am a hair off..
and it bothers me

Tonight...just as I was getting ready to mat the first hydrangea....
I remembered that I had purchased a tool that is specifically for mat positioning.

I got it out..
I knew how to use it
It's very straight forward looking...thank goodness...
because I didn't receive any paperwork with it
other than an invoice..
when it arrived last Fall

Well...
in as much as I felt confident about using the tool..
I couldn't remember what it is called.
"Kangaroo" was in my head...
I felt like the name had something to do with an animal.

So I went to my laptop..and posted a photo of the tool at the Stamping Enabler's Group on Facebook
I asked if anyone knew the name of  the tool

Within a few minutes....Kathleen D responded saying that it's called....
The Marsupial.
And there you have it!!!
The reason why I thought that it was called the Kangaroo!

A few group members also saw the photo and asked what the tool was...
what it did...
where they can purchase it...
etc..

So...before  I went any further with working on the 10 sympathy cards...
I stopped and had my sweetheart take a quick video with my cell phone...
so that inquiring minds....can see the KANGAROO
(haha)
....correction...THE MARSUPIAL....
in action.
(if you like its much as I do...an want to order one of your own...
you can see it HERE at Marsupial Paper

So here ya go...
The KANGAROO
oops...
I mean...
The MARSUPIAL
...and if you'd like to visit the Marsupial Pouches & Paper web site
you can do that by going HERE

Towards the end of the video....
you'll also see a little bit about the Mini MISTI
which I had pre-ordered a while ago...
and just received this week.
AND...I have to mention...
as I always do...
my card love interest....LCI METALLIC CARD STOCK
it's so beautiful and shimmery...
(wish the camera could capture how beautiful it is)

and yes...
I am a fast talker...
and I'm a girl with a big old New Yawk accent...
so grab your popcorn...
and be amused!

Thanks for stopping by...
and have a great Sunday!
Michelle

  5. Is this just for A2 cards? I am terrible at matting evenly so this would be great! BTW, I don't know how to change my Google account name but I'm Elaine!

  6. hi Elaine...I make mostly A2 cards..but I just tried layering for a 5x7 card...just to see how/if it works...and yes...it works...so I would imagine that it will layer any size card...providing you cut to the specifications and sizes that you want... the tool has multiple options for widths of the mats...wide..narrow...
