Sea Shells...and a Self-Imposed Challenge

As promised...
I'm back today to share a seashell card
created with a great stamp set
(Sea Shells...by Sheena Douglass)
and DecoFun Bow Maker's gorgeous Sea Shell ribbon.

I also lost my mind a little bit...
and decided to add a bow...
(YES!!... a bow!!)
to the top of the tag that I created for the card front.

ME?..Making a bow?...This is newsworthy!
Because...
I am SERIOUSLY and pathetically BOW-CHALLENGED and IMPAIRED

Emphasis on:  "PATHETICALLY"..."SERIOUSLY" ..."CHALLENGED" and "IMPAIRED"

I stamped the sea shells and colored them with Copic (Alcohol) markers...
Then..I created a tag...using a Stampin Up Tag Topper punch.
I matted the tag...and arranged the she shells on the tag as I wanted them.
The background print on the base mat layer on the card front was created by stamping sea shells
on a piece of light blue card stock.
The tag and sea shell layer were both matted with chocolate brown metallic card stock

When I had  the sea shell tag and stamped may layer completed...
I got big and brave with my bow-challenged self...
and created a bow for the top of the tag.

My little collection of DecoFun Ribbon isn't very large...
But as I've used each of the ribbons...I find myself wanting more...
Not just because they're pretty.....the prints on them are great
and quality-wise the ribbon is very soft and silky.
(I am NOT a fan of stiff ribbon)
And ...I have to say...
Although I am NOT a big embellishment person...
I find that I'm enjoying adding ribbon to some of my CAS cards.

If you want to take a peek at  DecoFun Bow Maker Ribbon...
you can visit the DecoFun web site HERE

I'm not sure what's next on my card making agenda..
I DO know that I need to create approximately 25 or 30 Thank You cards
for my daughter....for everyone who attended her College graduation party last weekend.
I also have a small sampler of some awesome "Natural" card stock that I want to try.
I've also got some new Creative Visions foiling sheets and stamps
waiting for me on the studio work table...
Along with a new laminator and oodles of Gina K foiling supplies...
so...
I am also looking forward to doing some foiling...for the first time.

Choosing which project to work on first is going to be difficult!

Thanks for visiting today my crafty and creative friends...
Have a fantastic day!
Michelle.
