Canadian Geese....and an Autumn Sunset

If you visit my blog regularly...
I'm sure that you already know that I am a true
CAS (Clean And Simple) card maker...
CAS is my happy place....
it's what feels "right" to me
whenever I create a card.

I've had this beautiful Impression Obsession stamp for quite a while.
as well as an Impression Obsession small maple leaf die set
Last week, while tidying up my stamps...
I spotted it one of my stamp drawers...
took it out..
and left it on the studio work table...
where I put stamp sets that I want to work with.
That little system of keeping a stack of stamp sets on the worktable...
is key for me actually USING my stamps.
I also got out the maple leaf die set...to remind myself that I wanted to use it with the stamp.

Well, I finally had time to use both!
I stamped the image with ranger Archival Potting Soil ink...
and added color with Clarity brushes ...lifting color from a few different ink pads.
For the die cut maple leaves....I created my own Autumn Foliage "colored" card stock
by applying Autumn/Foliage colors with the Clarity brushes to the white card stock....
I used that card stock to die cut some small maple leaves...for the tree.
When the leaves were in place...I brushed some clear Wink of Stella over each one.
The mat layers are metallic card stock...gold, plum...and chocolate brown

Here's the version with the chocolate brown metallic mat....

and a close up....
The gold metallic mat under each image is beautiful....
especially against the chocolate brown.

And..
the second version with the plum metallic mat...

and a close up....

and...
as I always do...whenever I create a card...
I send a photo to my friend John via a text message...
and I roll my studio chair into Gary's studio...
to ask his thoughts on the card.
Gary gave me a fast thumbs up...
and...
John....
being John....
my card loving friend...
asked me to make 6 for him...
3 chocolate...
3 plum.

And so it began...
6 Canadian geese Autumn Sunset cards....
Done...
and ready to be sent to John..
along with some Halloween cards that he also asked me to make for him.

My love of the Clarity Stencil brushes continues...
and my love of CAS cards continues on, as well...
This image...the little dies...and the brushes were a great combo for creating these CAS cards.

Thanks for visiting today...
Have a wonderful and creative day, my crazy friends!
Michelle.
