Hydrangeas...Hydrangeas...Beautiful Hydrangeas...

The Hydrangea lady is back...
I think that's what everyone is going to start calling me..
(and it would be fitting...100%)

If you visited the blog a few days ago...
 and watched the Marsupial video
these were the images that I used to demonstrate how the marsupial is used for matting.
I matted all of the painted images after the video...
and finished the cards yesterday...
by heat embossing the "With Sympathy" for the fronts..and cutting a sentiment banner for each card
They're just so pretty....I thought I'd share the finished cards here...
I couldn't resist.

This hydrangea is the best seller at my on line Card Shop...
and the most requested for special orders...
I rarely get a request for specific colors..because everyone loves ALL of them...
This image never gets old or boring to me...
and I credit that to the magic that happens with water coloring.

I never rush the drying process
not because I have an abundance of patience...
but because air drying really allows the ink and water to "do their thing"
which, I think brings the best and most beautiful flowers
(or anything else that you might choose to water color)

If I were to help the drying process along with a heat gun...
The heat and the flow of air force the heat gun to push the water and ink around
The results aren't unappealing...
but...air drying is a gazillion percent better
That's just my personal preference...
If you prefer to help the drying along....by all means...do it!
I really don't think that there are ever any "bad" results with water coloring...

So...as for me and my hydrangeas...
we are old friends..and I hope that we will always be old friends..
I welcome any day...and any request
that allows me to enjoy painting this beautiful floral image.

I am very happy with each of these hydrangeas..and how they turned out
and am happy to share them with you here

I know that you've seen others
and I'll hope that you are as captured by the beauty of the colors that emerged in each one.
For me...this is the gift that comes from
working with different inks....and water....
and added a dose of patience.
The final result never disappoints.

PS...one of these days I am going to find the ideal lighting situation for my photos...
and post pics of the gorgeous LCI metallic card stock used in the matting of the hydrangea cards...
It is amazing...and has fast become my #1 fave card stock for matting...
(and even for creating full die cut cards...like the birthday die cut card that I shared a few weeks ago)
If you have a sec...go to the LCI web site HERE to see their gorgeous metallics
You'll want ALL of the colors....I promise you!
(all of the mats in the following photos were done with LCI Metallics)

Card loving friends: You can place your own special order for thee beauties by emailing me at: tobellissimacards@gmail.com (minimum special order quantity is 6...your choice of sentiments...Birthday..Thank You...Get Well..Thinking of You...Sympathy etc)

Card making friends: I hope that my hydrangea cards inspire you to get out your ink...and paint brushes..to paint some beautiful hydrangeas of your own. (Try to be patient and let them air dry...in their own time...you won't be sorry...I promise)

Thanks for visiting...
Michelle

*Please feel free to click on each photo for a larger view...
that's really the best way to see the magnificent colors...

Had to share a pic of the side sentiment..
The friend who ordered these beauties requested this sentiment for the inside of each card.
I think that it's perfect for a sympathy card that has a floral image on the front.
