You Are Amazing

Wow! Wow! and Wow!

I had so much fun in the studio tonight creating cards with water coloring.
A few days ago, if you were to ask me what type of cards I most enjoy creating, I'd have said "cards with die cuts and embossing."

Well...step aside dies and embossing folders....because for the first time in almost 15 years, you are now in the #2 spot and water coloring has stepped up to 1st place!

Holy moly!
I am in LOVE with water coloring, and a big part of the thanks god to my Zig Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
The Zigs have allowed me to kick my water coloring up a notch...or maybe 50 notches, especially when it comes to shading and shadowing.
I am thrilled with them, in every way possible...and they work nicely (when water coloring)  with regular dye ink as well as distress ink.

So, while I was having fun doodling around with the Zigs, and loving it...I thought that I'd make a card for a friend, who has accomplished something amazing in her life....and the card shown below is what I came up with.

Tomorrow I will have friends here in the studio for one of our 9 hour Crop & Create in the Studio days and I am already excited about spending the day creating water colored cards.

This is tonight's card for my amazing friend (who shall remain nameless, because if I name her...she will see the card and will know it's for her... before it arrives in her mailbox)

(and...because I MUST scrutinize my own work....I have to add that while I am thrilled with the card...I am NOT happy with the stamped part of the sentiment.
I used Distress Ink...and I just don't like the way it looks...especially on the texture of watercolor paper.
The color is a nice match to the colors in the leaves..which I liked..and was the reason why I opted for that particular ink.
In the end: Not so good. (I don't think I'll stamp sentiments in that ink, again, in the future.)

If not for that...I'd be 100% happy with this card.

I love the gold embossing against the water coloring....and am also loving the gold border that I added with a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen.

And PS....Crafter's Companion Water Color Paper is awesome!

Thanks, as always, for stopping by...I appreciate your visit, and would love it if you left me a comment as well.
