In the Garden

These two cuties will be on their way to my friend John's Animal Hospital this weekend, along with the other cat and dog cards that I have been working on these last few weeks.

They were lots of FUN to make!

They did require LOTS of time die cutting and prepping materials that seemed to go on forever (because I made lots of them)...but the reward for all of the time spent cutting etc came when I was able to sit down, relax and enjoy putting these cards together.

If you are a card maker who prefers instantaneous gratification, this might not be the card for you because it requires lots of die cutting and step by step prep....
much different than creating cards with stamped images (which I love to do, as well)

The supply list for these cuties is very basic....
Card stock in colors that you love...
a few dies...a few stamps...a few markers...an embossing folder...a few tools...and adhesive.

By the way...even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE water coloring and pencil coloring...sometimes, I just don't feel like coloring or painting a lined image...
This was one of those times...
So...I stamped the dogs on light brown card stock..and wha-la!...
Little brown puppies!
No paint...no pencils needed!
Just a teeny little bit of marker coloring on their collars and their noses...and done!
The background is inked with SU Soft Sky ink to create the sky. (Love that color for inking skies)

Now I ask you....aren't these two guys adorable?!

  1. These are adorable! Are your cards sold at the animal hospital? Great idea if so.
